I am a college student. I do college stuff. Like go to class, and well, go to class again. I also go to the library and the D’ Angelo Center (gigantic lounge with Starbucks). Occasionally, I go to my house in Brooklyn, and my dorm. The point is, I take my laptop places. After all, it is portable—that’s what I’m supposed to do, no?
So I open my laptop up in class. Automatically, my laptop scans to see where I am, then sets my wallpaper to something school-friendly (not a half-naked Megan Fox) like an image of that D’Angelo Center I love so much. Shortly after that, it opens Microsoft Word and asks me what class I am in, so that it may set an appropriate header. Based on the class decision I made, it now opens up Safari to my course homepage. If that wasn’t enough, it closed Photoshop, iTunes and iChat—because who uses those things in class? To add to the current win, it turns of Bluetooth, mutes the volume, assigns apps to certain spaces, changes the network location, defines the current default printer, and runs whatever AppleScript I tell it too. Keep in mind this changes based on location. When I go home, Megan Fox comes back to me, as well as my sound and my “Home” settings.

Win.
