I just so happen to be in D’Angelo Center, in Metaphysics. Ten bucks if you can guess what I’m doing. If you guessed Facebook, you won (now go donate $10… haha gotchaaaa)!
Hypothetically speaking, you had a class at 3pm and your ten-page, 2200-word essay is due. You panic (slightly). In your panic, you crank out a record-breaking 7 pages in one class. All that is left is to print. What now?
You could:
a) Go to Sullivan and pray there is an open computer in the middle of the afternoon
or
b) Set up Wireless Printing and do all the printing from the comfort of your easier class (that you also know nothing about).
Step One: Go to http://sqlaptopps1.stjohns.edu

What your browser should look like here
Step Two: Pick a printer of your choice
Step Three: Open System Preferences (in your Apple Menu) > Print & Fax
Step Four: Press the (+) sign and add a new printer
(this is where the fun starts)
Copy (Cmd + C) the address of your printer from the http://sqlaptopps1 site.

The URL to copy
In the Add Printer window, select Line Printer Daemon in the protocol dropdown field. Then paste the address you copied from the above window (P-QSUL01103UNW in this example) and name the printer based on which printer you chose. Click Add and be done!
Very nice!
